Ap Blog Due 9/26/11

I found this artlice extemely intriguing, but yet scary at the same time. While reading it kind og makes yo but two and two together when it comes to this article and brave new world, and ther similarites.
"Their rate of development would also continue to increase, because they would take over their own development from their slower-thinking human creators, (page 1). I find this to be so incridibly true. I think that in the near future technology will take over our race. with everything progressing so quickly, meaning there is only one way to go and thats forward. Forward is just getting smarter and smarter in technology. Eventually I think that robots will be making themselve just with a greater intelligance, which will only get stronger.
"Like a lot of Singularitarian ideas, it sounds funny at first, but the closer you get to it, the less funny it seems. It's not just wishful thinking; there's actual science going on here. (page 3)"
This concept is actually true. When you think about it you think haha ya wouldnt that be nice to have a robot for a maid. I think it will come from a possiblility to fact in my own opinion. I think man kind will be no more and will be controled by technology again a scary thought. The way that technology is going now we are going to be so excelled in the next few years. At first i think that it is funny... but then once you actually think about it and see what is going on around you, you seems to realize, uh oh this might actually happen. It gets to the point where it does seem popular, and it has come out of the fairy tail stage, which can get quite scary.
"Is it an unimaginable step to take the iPhones out of our hands and put them into our skulls?
Reading this really made my mind go crazy. I look back and the first cell phones came out when my parents were kids... so about 30 years ago the first cell phone came out, now look at what we have done with cell phones in such little time. We can see people all around the world by Skype that insane. Just imagine what can happen in 100 years. Man will be hearing ideas from robots to come up with ideas before another human. This article really made me think and i thuroughly injoyed reading it, it gives me more insite on Brave New World.
